Can You Get a Hair Transplant With Weak Donor Hair?

Hey everyone,
I had a consultation recently, and the surgeon mentioned that my donor hair isn’t very strong, it’s on the finer side and not super dense. He didn’t say I was a bad candidate, but he warned me that I might not get the thickest result.

Has anyone had a transplant with fine/thin donor hair? Did it still look decent? Or should I just skip the transplant and try other treatments instead?

Yeah, the finer your donor hair, the less density you’ll get in the transplant area. If your goal is to restore a full, thick head of hair, it might be tough. But if you’re okay with just a framing effect and some added coverage, it can still work.
