Fin Side Effects

Hi everyone, I just started Finasteride (1mg daily) about a week ago, and I’m kinda paranoid about side effects. Some people say they get them right away, others say it takes months, and some never get them at all.

For those of you who had side effects, how soon did you notice them? And if you didn’t get side effects at first, did they ever appear later on?

Also did they go away after reducing the dose or quitting? I’m willing to stick with it, but I’d like to know what to expect.

For me, side effects didn’t show up until month 3, which was weird. I felt fine at first, then I noticed mild ED and fatigue. I lowered my dose to 0.5mg every other day, and that made a huge difference, sides went away, but I still kept my hair.

I’ve been on Finasteride for over 2 years, no side effects at all. I think a lot of people read about the negatives online and stress themselves out. If you don’t feel anything after a few weeks, you’re probably good. Just don’t overthink it.

@brkcnklm it's a relief that when you lowered dose effects are gone. I think I will start and stick with it I don't want to be bald
