FUE on Hairline

Hi everyone,

I’m considering getting FUE done to lower my hairline, but I’ve been wondering about the long-term results. For those of you who’ve had this procedure, how has the hairline held up over the years?

Did you experience any thinning behind the transplanted area? If so, did you have to go back for additional procedures to maintain the density? I’m trying to plan ahead and don’t want to end up chasing hair loss with multiple surgeries.

Hey, I had my hairline lowered with FUE about 5 years ago. The results are still holding up really well. However, I did notice some thinning behind the transplanted area about 2 years in. I ended up starting finasteride and minoxidil to stabilize it, and that seems to have done the trick so far. If you’re not on any hair loss treatments, I’d definitely recommend discussing that with your surgeon to protect your investment.
