Hi everyone,
I’ve just reached the 6-month post-surgery milestone after undergoing an FUE procedure. As you can see from my 6-month photo, I’ve developed a scar on the top of my scalp. This appeared after scabbing formed around Day 4 post-surgery (photo included). I’ve also added a Day 0 photo taken immediately after the procedure for reference.
I’m feeling concerned about several aspects and would really appreciate some advice:
1. Reducing the Scar: Is there any way to minimize the appearance of this scar? I was hoping hair would grow within the scarred area, but it seems the grafts didn’t survive, so the scar remains visible.
2. FUE in the Scar Area: Would a second FUE in the scarred area be successful? If so, how much might it cost on average?
3. Accountability: Should I hold the surgeon accountable for this outcome? Is it reasonable to consider seeking compensation?
4. Hair Growth Progress: At the 6-month mark, my hair growth feels underwhelming. Some new hairs have emerged, but there’s no density or texture yet. I’ve kept my hair short to avoid emphasizing the sparse growth. Is this level of progress typical for 6 months, or should I be concerned?
Thank you in advance for your insights!
