I Have Questions About My Intense Hair Loss

Hello gentlemen,

I came across this forum while doing research on the internet.

I am 27 years old, my hair loss is very intense and I am looking for a solution for it.

My father is also bald and hair loss is probably hereditary.

Is hair transplantation the only solution? Has anyone used Finasteride and found a solution?

I have fears about the side effects of Finasteride, can you enlighten me?

Thanks.

Hello farahjohannes,

First of all, welcome to our community! We understand that hair loss, especially at a young age, can be challenging.

In cases of genetic hair loss (male pattern baldness), hair transplantation is often an effective option that can provide a permanent solution. However, everyone’s situation is different, so it may be worth considering other alternative treatments besides hair transplantation.

Using Finasteride: Finasteride is a commonly used medication to help stop hair loss and support new hair growth. While it can be effective, some individuals experience side effects, so it’s essential to consult a doctor before starting. Specifically, some people report sexual side effects (such as reduced libido), although these are generally rare and usually return to normal after discontinuing the medication.

Alternative Solutions: Apart from Finasteride, there are other products commonly used for hair loss:

Minoxidil: This is a topical solution applied to the scalp that may slow down hair loss and, for some people, encourage hair regrowth.

PRP Treatment (Platelet Rich Plasma): This involves applying plasma to the scalp and can be a supportive option, especially for those considering hair transplantation.

Conclusion: If you have concerns about Finasteride and are considering hair transplantation, consulting with a dermatologist or hair restoration specialist can help you get the most accurate information. They can assess if Finasteride is suitable for you and provide insights into hair transplantation options.

I hope this helps. Wishing you health and happiness!

Greetings from Israel, gentlemen 😊

I will open a topic about the questions I have in mind very soon.

What I have heard about Finasteride is generally positive, but I am more interested in hair transplantation in Turkey because my friend named Avi works together with a hair transplant center in Turkey and the results are very good.

I will open a topic soon. Goodbye until that day.

First of all, I want to express my deep condolences regarding the recent events in your country.

We are very happy to have you with us.
Turkey is a popular country for hair transplantation, but as with anywhere else, choosing the right clinic is crucial for achieving good results.
One of the reasons we created this forum is to allow people to share their experiences and help each other find quality clinics.
This is the case in the UK, the USA, and, of course, Turkey as well.

I'm eagerly waiting for the thread you'll open. :)

I have been utilizing Rogaine for a period of fourteen months. While it has effectively halted the progression of my hair loss, it has not yielded any noticeable improvements in the thinning hair on the crown of my head.

Me too. Rogaine haven't improved any so I'm planning to start Finasteride before moving forward with hair transplant.
