Is It Normal Shedding More While Using Finasteride?

Hello guys, I've started finasteride 1mg daily around 6 weeks ago and in the past 10 days my shedding got way worse. I was losing ~40 hairs in the shower before, now it’s more like 100.

Is this something that happens early on? I’ve heard of shedding on minoxidil but didn’t know fin could do the same. Should I ride it out or am I reacting badly to it?

Totally normal. Happened to me around week 6 too. It's a telogen shed, those weaker hairs fall out to make way for better ones.

I’d say stay on it unless you get persistent side effects. Shedding is usually temporary.
