SMP Failure

Hello,

About a month ago, I had two sessions of scalp micropigmentation at a private clinic. The results looked great, with the pigment matching my natural grey hair color very well.

However, I recently had my third session, where they used a much darker, almost black pigment. The day after, I washed my head gently with water to remove the excess pigment since there was a lot of buildup. Unfortunately, the color turned bluish-green and now looks very bad in person, even though it seems fine in pictures.

Is there a way to fix this, or would laser removal be the only solution?

Thank you for any advice.

Hey,

Sounds like the clinic used the wrong pigment. A skilled SMP artist might fix it with a color correction session using warmer tones. Saline removal or gentle exfoliation could also help fade it. If nothing works, Pico laser removal is the most effective option.

Good luck!
