My Hair Loss Pattern Doesn't Match Norwood Scale?

Hey guys,

Bit confused with my situation. I’m 28, been thinning since 24 but it’s more like general thinning everywhere, not a receding hairline or crown. My barber says I still “have a full head” but under certain lighting it looks thin across the top.

From what I’ve read, this sounds like diffuse unpatterned alopecia? But then again some pics kinda look like NW3.

Is this common? And do you treat it the same as regular MPB (min + fin), or is it a whole different situation?

Yeah, DU pattern is tricky because it looks “okay” until it doesn’t. I waited too long.

Diffuse loss is very real and harder to catch early. You should treat it ASAP before density drops too low for a future HT.
