Hi, I have a question. What happens if I lose more hairs after the transaplant? Is additional hair loss common after a transplant? How do you manage it?
It’s normal to lose some of the transplanted hair in the first few weeks—called “shock loss.” Don’t worry; they usually grow back in a few months. If you lose native hair later on, it’s often due to ongoing hair loss from conditions like male pattern baldness.
To manage it, you can use medications like finasteride or minoxidil to maintain existing hair. If needed, another transplant might be an option.
