Why do some transplanted hairs grow curly???

I had an FUE transplant 10 months ago, and some of my new hairs are coming in wavy & curly, even tho my hair was always straight before.

has this happened to anyone else?? do the hairs go back to normal?

It’s actually pretty common for transplanted hairs to come in curly or wiry at first. They usually relax over time.

Most of the time, yeah, they go back to normal. But some ppl say they keep a slight wave forever. If they transplanted too deep, they will not turn back normal and you should be happy that they have grown.

It can also be bc the hair was implanted at a diff angle than your natural hair, which changes how it grows.
